Getting Your Matcha Fix In Perth

In one of my previous posts, I briefly shared some of my favorite matcha haunts in Melbourne. I was in Perth recently, and got to check out their matcha scene. After further sampling, here are some of my other favourites in WA, along some I forgot to mention from Melbourne.

Perth’s Little Matcha Girl

Nestled in Como, matcha is their main weapon. Given various choices on the menu, the customers can choose from either traditional loose-leaf matcha tea with mango or green-pea flavouring. Whether you prefer hot lattes or cold brewed lattes, this place offers both. An addition of organic coconut water or mint and aloe vera juice can also be requested. Milk options of almond and soymilk are available too. They also vary their offerings with freshly-pressed juices and other non-matcha based sweet, tasty treats.

Perth’s The Little Shop of Plenty
The Little Shop of Plenty is a café filled with healthy food varieties. With buckwheat granola and kelp noodles, cashew cheese and kale lunch bowls, you can only expect to have the healthiest and tastiest foods. One of the most featured key ingredient of them all is matcha. Indulge yourself with their most delicious iced matcha latte topped with a cocowhip or a steaming hot matcha latte blended with either WA’s fresh cow milk, soy or their very own unpasteurized almond milk. This store makes and produces their own goods from pure and wholefood ingredients which makes everything you buy deliciously satisfying.

Melbourne’s Fourth Chapter
A coffee-matcha oasis awaits you in the little suburb or Prahran. Offering an all-day long menu filled with healthy and delicious breakfast, Fourth Chapter is definitely the best at that. From smoothies to beetroot and cheddar waffles to smoked salmon and poached egg there is definitely a wide variety to choose from. You can also choose what type of nuts and cow milk to use to give you your perfect blend of ‘matcha maiden’ latte. Bask in a picturesque nature-themed surrounding while taking a sip of your healthy matcha drink.

Melbourne’s Matcha Mylkbar
This café has taken the use of matcha to the next level, serving their customers a variety of foods and beverages that is both healthy and delicious. Savor the sweet taste of macademia crumble and matcha-flavored pancakes in dark chocolate sauce. If you’re going for an afternoon snack that can fill your appetite, Matcha Mylkbar offers a matcha burger with sweet potato fries on the side. The highlight of their menu is the ‘matcha section’ where you can order any beverage, food or desserts that are made with matcha, may it be lattes or gelato.

Melbourne’s Yellow Espresso

Are you looking for unique latte flavors? With a wide variety of lattes from matcha to café to strawberry swoon flavors to golden latte, this café has it all. These four delicious flavors are known to be beneficial for one’s health. Yellow Espresso’s matcha powder is guaranteed to be a 100% organic and purified green tea matcha that is blended and steamed with all-natural almond milk but there are many other milk options if almond milk doesn’t suit your taste. With its amazing ambiance and interior, you’ll find it comfortable to eat their delicious free range eggs and blueberry pancakes while taking a sip of your warm matcha drink.
